      Zip Download On Share Links

      Use the Zip download feature to download individual folders with the option to include all subfolders and files.

      ioGates introduces a convenient Zip download option for ShareLinks, facilitating the easy download of multiple files and folders. This feature is designed to enhance the user experience by offering a streamlined method for obtaining files directly from a shared link.

      How to Use the Zip Download Option

      Downloading the Current Folder:

      The Zip download button, located in the bottom left corner of the ShareLinks interface, is set to download only the selected folder excluding subfolders by default. This limitation prevents the inadvertent download of large quantities of data and ensures that users only download what they need.



      Expanding Your Download to Include All Subfolders and Files      :

      For users who need to download the entire contents of a ShareLink, including all subfolders and files, a simple adjustment is required:
      • On a PC, hold down the "Control" key.
      • On a Mac, hold down the "Option" key.
      While these keys are pressed, the Zip download button will change to "Download All," indicating that the feature is set to include all subfolders and files in the download. This modification was implemented as a safety measure to prevent the accidental download of potentially large data sets without the user's awareness.
